At 20 years old I looked down to find a small abnormal rash on my ankle…
Over the next two days, I watched it fade away and disappear. Little did I know that my life as I knew it would never be the same.
Growing up I had my occasional headache or illness just like everybody else. I sometimes felt fatigued or bloated after eating, I thought this was a normal a part of life and everyone experienced this. Over time I also began to experience unexplained spikes in weight, digestive problems, and mild skin rashes. By the time I was 21 years old, I felt something was wrong. I spent the next four years visiting many doctors. Each doctor would give me a “probable” diagnosis. Some of these included typhus, diabetes, a parasite, and even liver disease. I began various drug treatments, but nothing helped. As more time passed, I developed liver abnormalities, inflammation in multiple areas throughout my body, severe allergies, and was very malnourished. My health was deteriorating and my hope for a cure was diminishing.
I was next told I had an autoimmune disease and needed to begin Chemotherapy. After a few weeks of treatment, something didn’t seem right. I still had not been officially diagnosed with any disease. I made the difficult decision to take myself off Chemotherapy until I was given more answers. I was then referred to one of the top medical centers in the country. Over the next year I visited doctors in every field of medicine and had skin biopsies, drug treatments, and even surgery to remove a possibly cancerous lump. Fortunately, it was only an inflamed cyst.
I was next diagnosed with Vasculitis. The doctor said my symptoms matched those of Lupus, HIV, Hepatitis C, or Hodgkin’s disease and I needed to be seriously tested for each one. I mentally prepared myself for the future diagnosis of one of these life threatening diseases. Once again everything came back negative.
Five long years had past and I was still sick so I decided to turn to nutrition for an answer. I took a simple blood test and was told to eliminate gluten from my diet. I didn’t believe the answer could be that simple, but it was worth a shot. At this point, what did i have to lose? After eliminating gluten from my diet, my body began healing itself within days! After one month on a gluten free diet, I felt better than ever. Not only was my weight was back to normal, but my energy level was up, and my rashes were completely gone. Gone! The remaining symptoms disappeared over the next few months. After what I had endured, it seemed like the miracle cure!
I have been gluten free for over ten years now and am in the best shape of my life. I’ve helped others go gluten free and experience amazing results like myself.
